Event Highlights
AI-GeneratedRoyal Thames Yacht Club left Annapolis with the 3-2-1 Invitational® title in hand, closing the two-phase program at 19 wins and 2 losses — 90 percent — across a single eight-boat field. The match racing phase belonged to San Diego Yacht Club, which topped all 28 matches at 5-2 and edged Royal Thames on the C11.1(a) tie-break within that discipline. Royal Thames answered emphatically in team racing, sweeping both the 2v2 and 3v3 round robins undefeated at 7-0 apiece across 56 heats, and that perfect run decided the combined table. San Diego took second overall at 13-8, with Annapolis Yacht Club – AYC Black third on the same 13-8 record. Ida Lewis Yacht Club finished fourth at 11-10. Conditions held steady throughout both phases: a 5-knot westerly gusting to 11, seas of 0.5 ft and 72°F. All results are official.

About This Event
The Annapolis YC 3-2-1 Invitational brings up to eight teams from invited US and international yacht clubs to the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay. Each club sends six sailors, and over three days they race every format the name refers to: three boats a side, two boats a side, and finally one on one match racing with the whole team aboard a single J/105. Everybody sails in everything, swapping roles and boats as the regatta moves through each discipline, and the club with the most wins at the end takes the title. It is one of the few invitationals anywhere that asks a team to be good at all of it.
