Tim Herzog and MATRA claimed the 2026 Severn River Challenge, topping a six-boat fleet after the semi-final stage was terminated due to lost wind. When the semi-finals could not be completed, series outcomes were decided by round robin seeding — Herzog's first-place position over John Sweeney and McLaughlin's second-place finish over Ashley Love proved decisive. Herzog advanced past McLaughlin by virtue of his higher round robin standing, securing the title. Love finished third after posting a solid 3-2 round robin but falling to McLaughlin in the bracket.
